With over 30 years experience in the events industry, Alastair has masterminded some of the most prestigious events in the UK & Europe.

With unparalleled event management expertise, a truly level head and a flair for wonderfully special parties it is no wonder Alastair is in demand by both clients and contractors alike.

He has been an active member of The Society of Merchant Venturers since 2003, is Governor at Colston’s Girls’ School and Chairman of Governors at The Downs School, Wraxall.  His additional charitable and community interests include The Antient Society of St. Stephen’s Ringers, The Canynges Society and Penny Brohn Cancer Care.

Event Manager

Alice has been an ACEs Event Manager for three years, having previously worked for PR and events companies after gaining a degree in Psychology from Durham University.

Alice provides unparalleled attention to detail and consistent support for each bespoke event creation from the very start to ensure that clients’ dreams become reality.

She is also the Chair of Marketing for Bristol Junior Chamber and is on the Management Committee for Bristol Young Professionals.

Vanessa Hollier

Event Assistant

Vanessa joined us after working in events and marketing at a leading Bristol tourist attraction.

Vanessa gained a First Class Honours degree in marketing from the University of the West of England. 

Vanessa provides additional support to the ever busy events team and has the ability to keep a level head in a fast-paced working environment. Her enthusiasm and zest for special events means she is the perfect addition to the team.

Tom Pickles

Event Assistant

An integral part of each succesful event delivery, Tom has been working alongside Alastair and Alice since 2010 helping ACEs to deliver a wide range of exceptional events

Tom ensures the back-of-house logistics and management run smoothly from arrival to de-rig using energy and enthusiasm to manage long hours and heavy workloads.

His professionalism, love of a good party and great sense of humour make him a central part of our team.

Stuart Henderson

Project Manager

Stuart site manages a variety of ACEs builds and de-rigs, drawing on his background in marquees. 

With unfailing logic and clear thinking, Stuart is a real help when organising contractors and build schedules.

He is a great addition to our team and helps us to deliver time and time again.

Emma Gurhy

Office Administrator

Emma joined the ACEs team in early 2011 and we don’t know how we ever managed without her. 

Emma is unfailingly helpful in organising us down to the last detail to make sure we have everything we need to produce great events for our clients.
