Immersive Corporate Christmas Party

Bristol, December 2015

‘Tis the season of the corporate Christmas party and Alastair Currie Events were delighted to host two very different ones in the heart of Bristol. The first, a traditional Christmas with a hint of Frozen. The second,  a black tie party following a corporate conference.

Entering through giant candy canes, past entwined wicker reindeer and snow covered Christmas trees, our guests were met by their elf hosts for the evening. Arriving in Santa’s workshop, we were on hand to serve canapes and champagne within a wooden cabin – filled with fairy lights and stockings, giant nut crackers and dressed Christmas trees. With a central fire piece, complete with faux fire, with a pile of logs and presents to hand.

As our corporate Christmas party guests entered the dining section they were met by a Frozen themed wonderland, complete with giant snow globe. As the starter was served the first of our snow globe performers took to their stage to dazzle guests.  Following the main, a delicious fillet of beef and braised ox cheek, a further performance began in the snow globe and circulated around the dining space.  Two further entertainment pieces, a casino and photo booth ensured guests were kept amused throughout – a fun mix of modern and old for this corporate Christmas party.

A few weeks later, we transformed the Great Hall of Bristol Grammar School into an eerie Christmas wonderland – sophisticated and elegant. The perfect celebration for over 200 guests following their end of year conference. With clear banqueting chairs creating a incredible ghost effect, topped with atmospheric and deep lighting in shades of purple, red and blue. Tables were topped with towering cages with twisted led foliage and candles.

An exceptional three course meal included a starter of pumpkin & fig tart with goats cheese and mulled syrup. A fillet of roast beef and braised ox with portobello mushrooms and shallots was accompanied by Tewsksbury mash before a trio of puddings and cheeseboard; passion fruit tart, berry and orange pavlova and salted caramel chocolate mouse.

With a sensational 8 piece band on the stage, the custom LED dance floor was in full swing until the early hours.

Thank you so much to you both and your work colleagues – we all had a great evening and it wouldn’t be possible without you both. I have had some wonderful comments today from lots of people – pressure is on for next year now.  I will have a few months off before starting to think about it again though. Thank you again for your professionalism and hard work.
