Passenger Shed

Bristol

Adjoining Bristol Temple Meads, The Passenger Shed is one of the South West’s largest venue’s available for hire. With the space to seat 650 guests for dining, or 800 delegates for a conference or festival – this unique venue is the ideal location for a variety of large scale events. Just metres away from the train station and a short walk to Bristol’s city centre or bus station, The Passenger Shed boasts incredible transport links and is convenient for commuters travelling to the city from further afield.

With a main hall and two adjoining rooms, The Passenger Shed presents incredible flexibility for your event. A huge opportunity for creativity, the venue has no contracted suppliers meaning there is ultimate freedom for your event to be entirely personalised. Having previously hosted car rallies, indoor festivals and national exhibitions the size of the venue makes it perfect for large scale events.

Originally designed in 1841 by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the site is famous for it’s futuristic engineering accomplishments and iconic ceiling. When completed, the roof of the structure formed the widest single span roof of the time.  Now a Grade One listed building, the venue is also a World Hertitage Site. When built The Passenger Shed included a ticket hall, stabling for hundreds of horses an engine shed (which is now the main entrance) and The Passengers Shed.
