An annual celebration focusing on the achievements and success of their graduating students, the Clifton College Commemoration event is a hugely popular and much loved event amongst staff, students and parents. A series of structures were erected across the school site, to be used for speech days and award ceremonies in both the prep and senior school. After we welcomed thousands of guests over the course of several days, the main marquee was transformed into a sensational masked ball.
Following a drinks reception on the lawn, guest were invited to take to their seats for a two course seated menu. Beginning with a starter of shrimp cocktail or wye valley asparagus with celeriac remoulade, free range egg, crispy onions and marinated tomato. Following by Chicago style chicken or wild mushroom and tarragon pithivier with russet potatoes, summer vegetables and a garlic sauce. With guests now anxious to take to their feet and explore the masquerade themed tent, dessert was served from a buffet station and incorporated strawberry meringue, chocolate and hazelnut delice, lemon drizzle cup cakes and an impressive selection on cheeses.
This fantastic celebration took place in a marquee on the grounds of the School. The marquee was initially used for the formal speeches and awards and was then transformed for the Ball.
We decorated the marquee to compliment the celebratory, party atmosphere with our amazing LED bars and ostrich feather centrepieces – bursting with colour and height. A circulating photographer captured natural images whilst a manned photo booth provided an array of comic photo opportunities, stilt walkers dressed in their finest joker outfit roamed the marquee interacting and entertaining guests. Elsewhere we provided black jack tables, roulette and wheel of fortune; or for those for wanted a physical spin a full sized funfair dogdems was available.
A fully stocked bar and sensational live band ensured the dance floor remained full until the early hours – the perfect college Commemoration celebration and way to end their time at school.
