Clifton College Commemoration 2025

At ACEs we are always happy to have a repeat event in the calendar and the Commemoration Week is one of our faves. A flagship event at Clifton College which we take pride in assisting with year on year, a week of celebration for students, their families and staff to recognise all their hard work and achievements throughout the school year. We’ve been working with Clifton College since 2009 to help deliver countless joyful, inspiring and meaningful events. We always look forward to the busy week of Commemoration, where we deliver a packed schedule of events.

CMC constructed a large marquee that served as the main event space for the week, a versatile and adaptable space that could be tailored to meet the unique requirements for each of the many occasions that are put on during the week. Alongside two smaller, attached marquees dedicated to catering and behind the scenes logistics, ensuring smooth operation throughout the week.

Over the week we assisted with events for the three education groups who attend the school: Pre-Pre, Prep and Upper. Each school year have speeches in the morning, consisting of student performances, prize giving’s and lots of applause. Followed by a quick marquee turnaround to accommodate parents for a relaxed and sociable lunch, each day. On the Friday evening, the marquee was re-arranged to accommodate a fun and energetic inter-house dance competition and then the big finale on Saturday night, the fabulous Clifton College Commemoration Ball.

With an ever-changing theme, chosen by the students, this truly is the highlight of the week. Guests are welcomed with a glass of fizz outdoors, before entering into the marquee via a glamorous red carpet, to take their seats ready for the evening to begin! this year the theme was ‘The Great Gatsby’ and great it was! The marquee itself was transformed, complete with Art Deco silhouettes, a striking backdrop for photo opportunities, elegant mirrored bar and a large central dancefloor. Tables were adorned with dramatic centrepieces and a touch of sparkle to represent the glitz and glamour of the roaring 20’s, immersing the attendees in an evening of opulence.

Guests were served a delicious three course meal ahead of the evening’s festivities. As the night unfolded, performances from Funkty Dumpty provided the soundtrack for the evening and the Casino set-up added the excitement as guests played their hand trying to win big (with fun money, of course!). The atmosphere of the Ball was celebratory and upbeat, with the dancefloor being packed from the first song to the very last. The evening ended with a bang, a colourful fireworks display spectated by lots of happy guests.

We look forward to this event every year and are really excited to continue to be a part of these spectacular celebrations for years to come, creating special and magical moments in such a beautiful setting for guests each year.
