Clifton College Winter Wedding

Over the course of a year, we worked closely alongside our couple who were based in New York for the entirety of their wedding planning – we were their eyes and ears on the ground! The bride’s dream was to get married in the gorgeous Clifton College – her childhood school and the most perfect exclusive winter wedding venue in Bristol!

The wedding took place within the College’s Chapel on the misty December afternoon. A ‘first look’ between the Bride & Groom ahead of the ceremony meant any last minute nerves were evaporated!

Following the ceremony guests celebrated the newly married couple with a confetti exit from the Chapel before making their way to the Percival Library for the drinks reception. Here, guests sipped champagne and ate delicious canapes, whilst being serenaded by a live string duo of violin and cello. As an extra special touch, we adorned the Library’s display cases with photos of the happy couple.

Guests were then welcomed to the Grand Hall, which had been transformed with luxury clothed tables adorned with centrepieces of white florals, seasonal foliage and towering candlesticks from The Petal Emporium. On arrival into dining the couple’s chosen song played as cold sparks marked their entrance and guests waved their napkins in delight!
A three-course dinner was enjoyed along with a selection of the couple’s favourite wines. During speeches, our friends The Bartender made over 80 Espresso Martinis (& made it look super sleek!) for the guests to toast the final speeches.

Powered by their espresso martinis, guests danced the night away with music from DJ Jambo accompanied by a live sax player. Guests enjoyed a range of cocktails personalised to the Bride and Groom, and the evening food of sliders and fries complete with mini American flags was a nod to the couple’s home of New York.
We worked closely with this New York couple to deliver all elements of their special day, taking the pressure off them and allowing them to focus on enjoying their wedding day without distractions.
