Intimate Wedding

It was our pleasure to assist with a small family wedding in August 2020, working with a bride and groom to deliver a dream day with Covid-19 in mind.  We were delighted to turn the plans around with only 7 days notice, working over the weekend ahead of the wedding and booking in florist and chef appointments alongside gathering samples and options for our couple of consider.

Held at the family home, with a small guestlist, we operated within Covid guidelines as listing at the time to provide a beautifully elegant day complete with gorgeous blooms, gold-rimmed glassware, sumptuous linen and a stunning menu.  The couple and their nearest and dearest didn’t need to worry about a thing, as we ensured all deliveries and equipment were brought in and sanitised with strict Covid procedures in place.

The impactful floral displays with beautiful cut-glass vases (using both the families own, for a personal touch, combined with ours) provided a lovely bit of sparkle, especially when combined with our stunning crystal candlesticks and vintage tealight holders.  Fireplaces, side tables and bookcases all got the special treatment from our wonderful florist, as did the specially sourced ‘Covid mindful’ tables for 4-6 guests on each with our limewash chairs.

The delicious menu allowed for all guests to feel comfortable in choosing canapes during the drinks reception, mindfully circulated to family groups, and individually plated nibbles greeted guests as they seated at the dining tables for speeches.  A beautiful progression of courses delighted guests, served by our face-masked and gloved serving staff – who kept distance as much as possible when serving, along with champagne and wine throughout.  We finished with coffee, tea and a beautifully presented slice of wedding cake.

A full consideration of operating ‘Covid Secure’ informed and led all elements of the day, including plentiful hand sanitiser and a cleanliness rota for our team.  We were very pleased to be able to support this lovely couple with their wedding celebrations, and to deliver a beautiful and calmly co-ordinated occasion with the timescale of the plans in mind.
