Hollywood Themed Party

Clifton College, March 2014

Alastair Currie Events were delighted to work alongside The Prince’s Trust to provide event management and support to their annual Red Dinner, 2015 saw the creation of a Hollywood themed party.  Set at Clifton College, we worked alongside the event team within the Trust to offer all technical works including lighting, sounds, visual components. Teaming up with The Waiting Game, our staff offered high quality waiting services throughout the night.

Embracing this Hollywood themed party, guests entered along a glamorous red carpet and made their way to the gold glitter Oscar statues which flanked the entrance to the school. As they came through reception, our guests were met with various cardboard cut out figures of famous celebrities.

Continuing the Hollywood themed party, tables dressed with red linen hosted eye catching sparkling Oscar statue centre pieces and black and white classic film reels.

Inspired by “red”, guests enjoyed a colour focused menu of beetroot rolls, ewes curd, roast red pepper & basil. Followed by confit leg of duck, bubble & quack, caramelised baby gem lettuce and red cherry jus. Pears poached in red wine, pistachio meringue and stem ginger cream with white chocolate and red cherries cheesecake prior to an extensive cheese board with red onion jam.

Entertainment was provided by X Factor’s Alexandra Burke, The Voice UK’s Celestine Walcott-Gordon and the evening’s host Omid Djalili. Guests were able to bid in the silent auction throughout the evening using the iPads provided and the evening finished with a hugely successful live auction.

It was fantastic news to hear that the dinner raised more than £90,000 to support the missions of The Prince’s Trust, including with youth unemployment across the South West.

“As usual the evening ran seamlessly which is down to your brilliant team!”

Our thanks to all our incredible suppliers who helped create such a positive evening.
