Hyde Park

London

A Royal Park in the centre of London, Hyde Park is one of the largest at 350 acres – it’s home to over 4000 trees, the Serpentine lake, a meadow and ornamental flower garden.

It’s central location, exceptional transport links across London and accessibility by foot, tube and road make Hyde Park an opportune venue for an large scale events in London. Whether it be erecting large structures or creating a small village, Alastair Currie Events have been delighted to design and management numerous events within the grounds. Our knowledge of coordinating marathon midnight walks, festivals and outdoor events mean we can offer the maximum benefit of this venue.

For a more intimate event in Hyde Park, The Lookout Gardens offer  a secluded and picturesque space within the woodlands – filled with wooden terraces, ecological ponds, fire pits, pizza oven and tipi’s. Venture inside and the you’re met with incredible decor and enough space for up to 200 guests – the prefect venue for a private party in London.

Originally owned by the monks of Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park was confiscated in 1536 by Henry Eighth to create a hunting land. Synonymous with events throughout history, the venue is home to Speakers Corner, the Serpentine Bridge, Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain and London’s most famous statue of Achilles. The bandstand within Hyde Park, a popular meeting point, was originally in Kensington Gardens but moved in 1886 – the octagonal roof gives it superior acoustics and it’s an ideal spot for an afternoon performance. Similarly, the impressive Marble Arch in the North-East corner was originally built as the entrance to Buckingham Palace and moved in 1851.
