Thatchers Wassail 2025

We have been working with Thatchers since 2018 to create their annual Wassail – it gets bigger and better each year!

The site was adorned with a large marquee to host the festivities, including an entrance tent decorated with figures from Thatchers iconic advert with Aardman animation. The main structure was host to a dancefloor, bar area (serving Thatchers Cider, of course) and heating, which was much needed on a cold January evening. The marquee was decorated with mini Thatchers hot air balloons lining the roof, whilst the warm lighting and rustic tables gave a warm and homely feel to the marquee.

Guests were taught the Wassail song, then made their way outside to the Wassail tree alongside the trusty Morris Men and legendary Green Man. Cider-soaked toast was hung from the branches to encourage the good spirits and a bountiful harvest for the season ahead.

The site was beautifully illuminated by SLX, creating an enchanting and mythical atmosphere. Once the celebrations were over guests returned to the warmth of the marquee (CMC Marquees) to continue the festivities and were greeted with a buffet dinner featuring Thatchers Cider-infused menu items, all prepared by Fosters. Followed by entertainment from the comedy group Noise Next Door and Lipinski, an indie-rock cover band kept that kept the party going late into the night.
