Downs School Summer Wedding

Their wedding was an elegant blend of tradition and style, beginning with a beautiful ceremony at All Saints Church in Wraxall. From the church guests were transported in vintage buses to The Downs School, where they were greeted with a drinks reception and a steel band in the back garden of the school to mingle before the real party began.

The wedding breakfast took place in a stunning marquee on the front lawn of The Downs School by put up by our sister company CMC Marquees, providing the perfect space for the rest of the evenings activities. Inside, long tables were set with tall floral centrepieces, varying in levels of height to create a layered and vibrant display.

Guests enjoyed an exceptional meal, a bespoke menu designed and catered by Chef Tom Green. To compliment the dining, a surprise singing waiter performance by Encore Entertainment added an extra layer of fun, followed by speeches, before the guests hit the dance floor to the sounds of Silk Pennies. As the night continued, the marquee buzzed with energy, with the floral design by Flowers by Thea adding natural elegance, while the bespoke lighting from SLX illuminated the marquee and the school through the clear marquee walls, creating an enchanting atmosphere as day turned to night. The evening concluded with a magnificent fireworks display, providing the perfect finale to this incredible day of celebration.

Throughout the day, every detail was expertly coordinated by our team, ensuring that everything—from the transport logistics and the drinks reception to the floral arrangements and grand finale—was perfectly managed. The wedding was filled with unforgettable moments created by the stunning venue, the thoughtful design which met our clients exact needs and more, as well as the amazing entertainment.
