Alastair Currie Events were delighted to provide full event design and management for an exciting three day 50th birthday celebration, for our wonderful client at their beautiful Dorset home.
Wanting to create a relaxed, but fun weekend, our client requested a festival themed party. Ensuring we brought everyone together, with good food, music, and great dancing, our friends at World Inspired Tipis installed a glorious tipi, where guests were able to sit and dine together, grab a drink, and dance the night away.
To create the ultimate festival experience, bell tents were provided from our friends at Devon Belles, for guests to stay in. These tents provided comfort and the utmost luxury. Kitted out with beds and mattresses, beautifully colourful bedding and cushions, a rug, flowers, and fairy lights enabling guests to see where they were going, once they had danced the night away!
Guests were warmly welcomed to the party with a glass of fizz, a selection of beers and wines, a summery Pimm’s, and a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade, and were then taken to their tents to get settled.
The menu provided was fully vegan, with meat options too, and provided lots of wholesome, delectable food. The arrival banquet was exquisite, consisting of little pakoras, onion bhajis and samosas, an India Red Lentil dhal, saffron rice, roasted cauliflower, butter chicken Makhani and warm naan breads. To follow, guests were offered roasted stuffed peaches or a warmed chocolate brownie.
Surrounded by beautiful festoon lighting, and the glow of the campfire, guests enjoyed late night snacks and campfire stories – the perfect entertainment for a warm summer night.
The next morning, guests were able to take part in a yoga lesson, preparing them for the day ahead. After a magnificent buffet breakfast was served, with the breakfast bowl proving very popular, guests were able to relax by the pool, or take a walk around the beautiful area.
Soon, it was time for the guests to get their glam on! A glitter artist arrived, ready to cover everyone in sparkles, and create a real festival vibe. The entertainers really got the party started, providing the best energy, and what’s a party without party games!? Pass the parcel and musical chairs created immense fun.
After sitting down for a wonderful three course banquet, guests sang happy birthday to the birthday girl, and were then invited to a dance party, where they could learn dance routines, and dance the night away. To keep the energy going, cocktails were prepared and a late-night snack of vegan nachos, were circulated.
After all the dancing, guests had a very relaxing last morning, enjoying a delicious breakfast. As guests began to leave, they were provided with treats to take on their journeys home, and were bid a fond farewell.
This party is certainly not one to be forgotten, and our team at Alastair Currie Events enjoyed every second of it, and were thrilled to have helped our wonderful client celebrate her special birthday.
