Alastair Currie Events were delighted to provide full event management and design for a wonderfully special joint 60th birthday, celebrated at the client’s beautiful home.
Creating the perfect in-door, out-door dining experience, a marquee was added as an extension to the client’s house.
The marquee, provided by CMC Marquees, was filled with three banqueting style tables, adorned with hessian linen and azure blue napkins, which created a soft, but striking display.
Candelabra sat upon the tables, along with led light up helium balloons, creating a fun, twilight atmosphere.
On arrival, guests were welcomed with a glass of fizz and a variety of canapes were circulated.
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal, prepared by Tom Green from Fosters. A sharing starter of cured meats, burrata, fennel seed, and garlic and lemon pangretto, Homewood cheese ewes curd, olives, aubergine caponata, and rosemary and sea salt focaccia. A main course of salmon, king prawn and spinach en croute. Followed by a spiced autumn pudding, orange and cardamom jelly and clotted cream. The perfect dessert for the colder months!
After dinner, the mirrored cocktail bar was opened, ready to serve everyone’s favourite cocktails.
Perhaps everyone’s favourite part of the night, the main event, was the brilliant DJ, Jazzie B, who really got the party started, and entertained the guests until the early hours!
Whilst guests were dancing the night away, a midnight snack of bacon rolls were prepared, ready to give everyone an energy boost.
Spirits were high at this beautiful evening soirée, and lots of fun was had by all.
