A Grade II listed building in the centre of Bristol, the RWA (Royal West of England Academy) sits opposite the Victoria Rooms and their iconic water foundations. Set within walking distance of Clifton and Bristol busy business sector, the RWA Bristol is the ideal corporate hotspot.
Alastair Currie Events were delighted to be invited to work alongside the RWA Bristol as they hosted an Academy Showcase, designed to showcase the venue to a variety of new businesses locally and highlight some of the exceptional artwork on display.
As guests networked we were on hand to serve a chilled drinks reception, working in conjunction with our clients chosen caterers, Papadeli. Well known for their delicious deli restaurant in Clifton, they were on hand to provide a selection of mouth watering summer flavours to guests. Served on rustic wooden boards, the canapes were full of colour, flavour and distinctive textures; the perfect accompaniment on a warm June afternoon.
As the sun shone, guests were able to make full use of the beautiful balcony. With views extending down across Park Street to the waterfront, and up towards Clifton, it provides the perfect opportunity for guests to escape for a moments fresh air or tranquillity.
Using a selection of previous wedding stationery and decor, Alasatir Currie Events created three potential table designs. The first, a tall, elegant candelabra decorated with vintage style glass bottles of varying shapes and sizes, each filled with fresh florals. The second table, complete with engraved 1920’s stationery, remained in the Gatsby era with elaborate ostrich feathers and fluted, cut glassware. Finally, a sensational summer wedding table, showcasing clear cut mirror vases, small white posy florals and simple yet glamorous printing. The vastly different designs set to highlight the variety and flexibility that the RWA Bristol can accommodate.
