Operating across South West, we are always delighted to work with local couples who want to celebrate near their family homes – in this case, we were invited to design and management a spectacular Somerset wedding. Nestled within a meadow of wild flowers a green carpeted walkway led towards the elegant blessing tent provided by CMC Marquees , which was carpeted in green astro with white wooden folding chairs facing towards the stunning silver birch trees which arched to create a gorgeous altar. The newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a champagne reception accompanied with a delicious selection of canapés all in the glorious afternoon sun.
Dining remained completely hidden from guests during the blessing giving our first reveal of the day as the linings were drawn away and the stunning dining marquee was unveiled!
Guests were seated beneath breath-taking displays of hanging flowers that reflected into the round mirror topped dining tables creating a truly dramatic and glamorous environment.
Treated to an exceptional menu including charcuterie sharing boards, tagaliata di monzo with roasted Mediterranean vegetables. Finished with a beautiful arrangement of pistachio, rosewater and chocolate drop meringues with Cheddar strawberries and clotted cream. Following the cutting of the stunning ‘naked’ style cake and humorous speeches, the party began! The nightclub reveal screen was lifted revealing a 14 piece band set on a two tiered stage – quite the party starter. The custom made bar was fully stocked with all the favourites along with a bespoke cocktail menu.
When the clock struck midnight the bride and groom left the meadow via a sparkling farewell!
The following morning guests were invited back to meadow to enjoy a post-wedding brunch. A delicious menu of Sunday brunch favourites was masterfully put together by Fosters Event Catering and the hugely popular mimosas were served to each guest on arrival.
