We were delighted to manage and design this unforgettable wedding at our client’s beautiful garden with views spanning the Severn Estuary. CMC Marquees began the marquee build a week before the wedding with the team working in some of the warmest conditions of the summer but what an outcome – the clear-roofed marquee stole the show!
The marquee was styled in neutral tones adding an air of understated glamour to the space. Bringing a sense of Mediterranean to this Severn Estuary Wedding, stunning olive trees imported from Italy were decorated with mini-LED lights and dotted throughout the marquee really bringing the outside in and created a natural, Summer atmosphere.
The ‘big day’ was one filled with sunshine and lots of happiness. After the ceremony guests were greeted with a glass of gin fizz and made the short walk from the village church to Bride’s family home where the Alastair Currie Events team were waiting to welcome them.
Canapes and champagne were circulated throughout the afternoon as guests enjoyed the warm July afternoon in the outside chill-out area; decorated with white hanging lanterns beneath the copper beech tree and straws bales with comfy blankets and cushions.
Guests were called to dine in the marquee and the new couple were introduced, much to the delight of the whole wedding party. Tom Green at Fosters provided an incredible selection of carefully chosen sharing elements for starter. As main course service began the marquee’s clear roof became illuminated by hundreds of festoons which were previously unnoticeable to guests. The best men’s speeches were toasted with a chilled Limoncello shot, delivered to each guest by our staff ‘on cue’.
After speeches the reveal screen behind the top table was lifted showing off a white LED dancefloor with the band eagerly awaiting the newlyweds to take to the floor for their first dance together. The energetic band entertained the crowd all evening, even featuring a special surprise performance from the Bride’s Father and Sister! As the night drew to a close the Bride and Groom departed to a picturesque farewell as their guests lined the lawn with sparklers, the perfect end to a spectacular day.
Alastair Currie Events re-joined the wedding party the following day for a casual Sunday afternoon get-together giving guests the chance to reminisce about the previous days celebrations and continue to enjoy the ever changing views of the Severn Estuary. A hog roast with a selection of vibrant salads and, of course, a few Bloody Marys gave the guests a much needed boost after a day of merriments!
