Celebrating a very special 60th birthday, Alasatir Currie Events were delighted to provide complete event management and design for this Bristol based party.
We were thrilled to host a canape and drinks reception for 150 close friends and family a few days before the party, with champagne and cask ales served alongside an incredible selection of wines, our guests were able to catch up with old friends and generate huge excitement for the main event on the Saturday evening.
Set just outside of Bristol in Somerset, we built a stunning glass walled marquee – original and eye catching, it looked truly breathtaking as the evening began to fall. With a bespoke and unmissable green grass carpet, we provided hessian topped tables and crisp white napkins alongside spring floral arrangements and towering candelabras. Personalised to the the birthday celebrations, each table was named after something unique – a great talking point and memory provoker.
With towering olive trees, thick and fruitful providing impressive set pieces towards the stage the marquee looked truly spring like and perfect for a cool March evening. Opposed to the stage set, a demanding dark wood panelled bar with a cut glass drinks cabinet behind. Elegant yet dominant, this bar provided an exceptional focal point.
After enjoying the circulating entertainment guests were called to dinner, treated to a main course of steak and frites followed by an indulgent creme brulee. Mid way though, our team of waiters transformed into a surprise performance – the operatic trio causing the whole tent to join them on their feet and waving their napkins. With songs chosen by the host, it was another perfect moment for humerus reflection and story telling for guests at the 60th birthday.
The band took to the stage shortly after dinner and ensured the dance floor remained full, expect for those who were enjoying the delicious cheese and sweets available until late.
