When organising any event, we know that the visuals are fundamental. Our incredibly talented designer works tirelessly to create stunning centrepieces which capture the mood, imagination and attention of our guests.
We recently hosted a shoot day at our client’s stunning home nestled in the Gloucestershire countryside. Inspired by Autumnal days and the great outdoors it was critical that our centrepieces were warm and natural. This blend of earthy colours acted as a continuation of the surrounding Cotswold parkland.
These fruit centrepieces were designed to be stimulating, fresh and tempting. As this was the morning after a big birthday celebration, we wanted our guests to leave the breakfast table feeling ripe for the day ahead, having been treated to a wonderful selection of breakfast delights. For this centrepiece, contrasting colours and a variety of shapes was essential.
A well designed centrepiece is a great way to strengthen the theme of an event. This particular centrepiece, for a masquerade dinner, was designed with each table featuring a spectacular golden frame. Decorated with masks and ribbon, the displays were eye catching and prominent, yet due to the frame’s nature, it still allowed guests to socialise across the table.
Nestled in a Somerset meadow, these wedding centrepieces were perfectly themed. The bold decorations, in both colour and size, were reflected in mirror table tops so their colours radiated around the marquee. Collections of tea lights in the centre of the tables ensured that the marquee looked magical even after dark. By having an otherwise white, unlined marquee meant that these beautiful arrangements took pride of place – leaving a lasting impression on both the Alastair Currie Events team and wedding guests!
Centrepiece doesn’t necessarily mean centre of attention. In this case, when working with a particularly vibrant colour, simplicity is key. For this Summer birthday party we took inspiration from the beautiful posies and chose fuchsia napkins, really bringing the table together. The size of this posy also allowed plenty of space for the delicious sharing starter these guests enjoyed!
