Happy Valentine’s Day!

We thought we would share our tips on creating a romantic dining experience!

Whether you want dinner for two, or a celebration with all your close friends, follow our tips to create your perfect evening.

Deciding the menu…

We suggest champagne and canapes to start, followed by a beautifully crafted 5 course dinner.

To begin, a sharing charcuterie board is always a firm favourite. Followed by a refreshing limoncello palette cleanser to really tickle your tastebuds, ready for a decadent main course, followed by a selection of cheese, finally finishing with an indulgent chocolate mousse.

To accompany your dinner, and to add a little more fun to the evening, we recommend serving a bespoke cocktail – you could even have a go at making each other’s favourite tipple!

The Décor…

Take a look at our wonderful florist, Thea Evans’ tops tips to setting a romantic table:

As a florist, Thea knows only too well that flowers are the most important factor in setting a romantic table. Although they may ben seen as a cliché, Thea suggests using traditional red roses – the more indulgent the better!

Thea believes the table décor should be personal to you, instead of going out and buying lots of bits and pieces, find things around your home that are meaningful.

To make it extra personal, you could add a little gift to the place settings!

To create a beautifully intimate atmosphere, Thea suggests lighting tea lights, which are the perfect way to set the scene, and are a beautiful way of creating a twinkly atmosphere.

Thea’s key takeaway…

The act of surprise is key, and it doesn’t just have to be for Valentine’s Day.

Thea’s biggest tip…

Nothing is too much, and you must ALWAYS have champagne!
