It’s safe to say we love a themed soiree, who doesn’t? There’s no doubt about it that a great theme will elevate your party or event from good to jaw-dropping. It’s always the best way to create the best atmosphere!
One of the hardest parts of party planning is coming up with a good theme in the first place. And the ideas to bring it to life? That’s the toughest bit! That’s why we’ve put together a list of some of our favourite party themes with some inspiration and ideas to get you started in your party planning process. We are sure they’ll bring the wow factor to your party for your guests!
Some of our favourite themes for parties and events:
1. Silent Movie
Canes at the ready. A beautiful black and white theme with all the old school glamour of Hollywood. Perfect for film fanatics with touches of movie-themed paraphernalia throughout. Film reels, fun title card style signage and stationery, a Hollywood walk of fame seating plan, and a black and white photobooth, red drapes and carpet on arrival – complete with all the props a silent movie star might need!
Didn’t get tickets to Glastonbury? Throw your own mini back-garden version for you and your favourite people. Get a band to perform live, followed by a silent-disco DJ, or stream big acts ‘live’ on a big screen with flowing ciders, muddy wellies, flower crowns, a rustic festival bar and delicious street food. We love a festival flag too!
3. Masquerade ball
Perfect for adding a twist to a black-tie event, gorgeous gowns and dinner jackets with the creative touch of a mask. Let your guests provide the décor! Opulent ballroom style room theming with tall silver candelabras, ostrich feather centrepieces, glitzy place-cards and beautiful charger plates, crystal chandeliers and confetti filled balloons. Get ready to party!
4. Floral fantasy
Go wild for a while. Fill your space with an array of florals. Beautiful meadow style arrangements, cascading floral curtains, scented blooms, pretty printed linens, cocktails and canapes with edible flowers. A floral photo backdrop is a great way to get your guests snap-happy too!
5. Arabian nights
Rich warm tones, Persian carpets, cosy seating areas filled with cushions, decadent lantern lighting, and an abundance of stunning food from our superb chefs. You and your guests will feel as if you’re at an opulent palace party. Don’t forget the minty mojitos too, and a late-night screening of the Prince of Arabia for all those late-night revellers is a must too!
6. Black and Gold
Totally stylish. Perfect in a dramatic and fantastically lit venue. Black linens, crisp white napkins with gold tassel ties and pretty gold tableware. Gold leaf desserts and gorgeous glassware. Perfectly glamourous. Finish it off with a stunning circular gold bar with a black and gold dancefloor, and you’ve got a real party on your hands!
7. Studio54 / Seventies Roller Disco
All the retro vibes for this one, New York in the Swinging Seventies! Get your skates on and hit play on the Juke box, the coolest DJs around get the party going. Disco balls, colourful ribbon cascades and a candy floss station ready for your guests to get groovy! We love providing our fabulous roller disco too, and the DJ can belt out all your favourite tunes.
8. Casino Royale
The hottest, most glamourous casino in town! Get professional dealers and tables in for the full experience. Black jack, roulette and poker, just for fun, over plenty of bubbles. A jazz band plays while canapes and magicians circulate, which are sure to entertain guests not at the tables.
9. Nineties Neon Nights
A neon 90s paradise! Fill your space with fab neon light signage, interactive displays and get those glow sticks out. UV paint, LED furniture, creative canapes and funky cocktails. Our staff can get involved in the act too – equipped with neon bowties and retro neon glasses ready to serve your guests a selection of 90s treats! Party like it’s 1990!
10. Great Gatsby / 1920’s theme
A classic, stylish event that gives plenty of opportunity to create the most glamorous occasion. Why not get some dancers to come along and teach your guests the Charleston? Add a 20’s style band and it’s a sure-fire way to get everyone up on the dancefloor. Lots of sparkles, lots of glamour… a little party never killed nobody!
A fun and creative theme – creating your own Pirates’ pub! With the venue dressed like an old tavern, a message in a bottle makes the perfect invite. Treasure chest style centrepieces filled with candles and jewels, ready for a banquet celebrating a successful voyage. Rum cocktails in skull glasses and goblets of wine are waiting so don’t be late, tide waits for no man.
12. Colourful Carnival
Colourful, loud and totally over the top. Vibrant tropical florals, steel drummers, brightly coloured linens, and a flavour filled menu. Ready to salsa until the end of the night, and LED palm trees to boot! A troupe of high energy carnival dancers are sure to get your guests up and boogying!
13. Mad Hatters Tea Party
We’re all quite mad here, you’ll fit right in… Perfect as a summer garden party, with vintage styling on long trestle tables – lace-edged linen, twisting wood and mossy centrepieces complete with toadstools and trinkets, books and teapots, covered in pretty blooms straight out of the Caterpillar’s dreams – we’re ready for a gorgeous yet totally mad afternoon tea party.
14. Winter Wonderland
Create an icy paradise with snow covered trees, ice sculptures and frosty styling from the glassware to the table names. Acrobatic tumblers in a snow globe to amaze your guests with Jack Frost stilt-walkers and glass-globe jugglers. Clear Perspex tables with matching banqueting chairs – within an igloo stylised marquee – topped off with twinkly fairy lights, festive treats and fantastic wintery drinks to add the warming elements to this glamourous event. The perfect Christmas party!
